Vocal session’s started!

Recording sessions are always a time of deep reflection. While I work on Sentimentale Jugend’s songs  I often think of my musical journey, from the beginning until today. I try to understand what has produced a sound like the current one. I found At The Gates and Dissection influences, Ensalved tunes,  Satyricon grandeur. The music I used to listen to when I was a teenager left a deep impression on me, a way of feelin: the frantic search of deep & powerful sound. Although I have tried to get away from this state of mind, in the end I always go back on my feet. It’s a desire to fill every vacuum left with huge & monumental sounds. It’s an innate need to play hard ‘n loud. Every band I loved (outside of the extreme metal) possesses these qualities: Fields of The Nephilim, Type 0 Negative, Deftones, Isis, GSYBE!, EITS and Mono. All priests of the wall of sound. We started with the finest nu - gaze intentions….we ended up using Bass Six everywhere, making the sound of our fuzz bigger and bigger. We have denied our expectations freeing our hearts. Too rough and complex for indie music , too reverberated and analog for metal scene. We are a band for no one and for all.

It’s been two months since we started recording Sentimentale Jugend. Because of work reasons, we are forced to record only during the weekends. Just as we did when we were teenagers & death metal-junkies (the magic has remained the same, despite the passage of two decades). We still have several weeks of hard work. But we are charmed, delighted by the new songs. We would like this time would never end.
